Sweet. Personalized. Hilarious. Emotional. Goofy. Loving. Amy and Ben’s wedding day was all of those things and more. These two planned a gorgeous DIY backyard wedding in Salem, and it was absolutely lovely. They started the day getting ready at a big property in Silverton and planned one of the sweetest first looks I have ever witnessed. They hid on either side of a corner, held hands, then exchanged letters and read them while being able to hear each others laughter and tears, but had see each other yet. After they finished reading, they counted to three and peeked out to see each other for the first time and hug, kiss, smile and cry. It was beautiful. They were married a few hours later under the shade of tall trees, surrounded by all their friends and family. The rest of the afternoon was spent mingling, listening to a ton of hilarious toasts, dancing, eating from many different types of pie (all of which Amy and Ben baked themselves), and taking fun photos of course. I had an absolute blast working with these two and getting to document such a unique day. Congratulations Amy and Ben!
